Body X Ultra – VR Edition

INSTRUMENTATION: 13 instruments, unique glass instruments, electronics, Ambisonics sound, and 3D VR video

An immersive recording that allows you to explore the concert space using your mobile phone or VR glasses.

The project’s genesis is connected to the piece “Body X Ultra – Glass Edition,” which premiered on April 14, 2024, at the National Forum of Music in Wrocław as part of the final concert of the Musica Polonica Nova festival. The composition was created in collaboration with artist Kalina Bańka-Kulka, the creator of unique glass instruments designed for each musician, inspired by the interior of the human body, which are also works of art. These artistic endeavors raise questions about the degree of machine interference in the human body and its consequences. The use of delicate, transparent glass is significant and symbolic. Its use alludes to the fragility of the human body and the often hidden signals it transmits.
